Our village was founded deep in the past on the left bank of the Elbe, not far from the confluence of the Elbe and the Orlice. The first written mention dates back to 1073 (or 1085) in connection with the Opatovice Monastery, to which our village belonged for several centuries by decree of King Vratislav II.
