The first written report dates back to 1261. The village is located at an altitude of 423 meters. The village is located in the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area.
Educational centre for children and adults with a wide range of environmental education programmes focusing on nature and landscape conservation, folk customs, traditions and the life of the people of Wallachia. Part of the complex is a building providing accommodation for participants of educational programs, but also for tourists and families with children.
