Borovany in the České Budějovice region opened a renovated former Augustinian monastery in July 2010. In addition to tours of the monastery buildings, cultural events are held in the interior or in the adjacent garden during the tourist season.

We provide regular exhibitions of photographs, paintings, arts and crafts or thematic exhibitions.

We provide pre-sale tickets for cultural events in Borovany, Trhové Sviny and all tickets sold through CBsystem. We provide information about tourist attractions, transport links, accommodation and catering, public internet. Guided tours of the monastery are available in season.

We operate a natural swimming pool with a biological method of maintaining clean water. The swimming pool is suitable for allergy sufferers. There is a slide, a swing and a water mushroom for children. There is also a diving board and water spouts. You will also find an equipped children's playground or refreshments.

The exposition will introduce the visitor to the history of the KFJB railway in the section České Velenice - České Budějovice in the context of the history of railway transport in the world and in South Bohemia, it will present everyday life on the railway, passenger and freight transport. The exposition will include 2 historical freight and passenger carriages.

The garden is planted with 8 varieties of Canadian blueberries (Chandler, Duke, Jersey, Bluecrop, Pink Lemonade, Bluejay, Emblue, Berkeley). Visitors can get inspiration on how to grow blueberries successfully and can also buy selected seedlings. The opportunity to sit in the shade of a 250-year-old dogwood tree.
