The town of Protivín is a picturesque South Bohemian town in the Písek district with approximately 3 800 inhabitants. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Blanice and Skalice and is famous for its chocolate production (Postřižinské Chocolate Factory) and its important fish farming tradition. The historic centre of the town offers the Church of St. Bartholomew and castle architecture.
