The bakery house from the end of the 18th century is one of the monuments of folk architecture. The writer lived in the house until he was ten years old, when he went to junior school in Broumov. The interior furnishings, which are used for tours, are not original, but are placed as they were when Alois Jirásek lived in the house.
The exhibition focuses on the childhood of the Čapek siblings, who used to visit their grandparents at the mill. The local environment became an inspiration for them to write a number of fairy tales.
