The monument stands on the site of the original church dedicated to St. Catherine. The Gothic new building dates from the 2nd half of the 15th century. The three-nave nave is between late Gothic and emerging Renaissance and was built in the first half of the 16th century by the then owners of the Bibrštejn estate.
