The monastery church commemorates the Dominican monastery that was probably founded here during the reign of Přemysl Otakar II, which was destroyed by local chalice worshippers in 1419. An interesting feature of the church is the reverse orientation of the main altar from the beginning of the 18th century, which was built on the west, not the east side.
