The female Dominican convent with the church of St. Anne was founded at the beginning of the 18th century by the daughters of Václav Ignác Vratislav of Mitrovice. After the dissolution of the monastery by Joseph II in 1782, the monastery was bought by the town, which established the main school with a six-class gymnasium, which was entrusted to the Teplá Premonstratensians.
