The chapter and parish church was founded by Prince Vratislaus II in the second half of the 11th century, modelled on the Roman basilica of the same name. The interior of the church is decorated with ornamental and figurative Art Nouveau murals from 1902 - 1903. Other interior decoration was created as a combination of Neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau.
