The foundations of the church date back to the early 14th century. The church was destroyed during the Hussite wars and rebuilt in the second half of the 15th century. At the end of the 19th century it acquired its present appearance. During World War II the foundations of the church were disturbed and since then the church tower has been tilted off its axis by almost 2 metres.
