In the Senior Security Analyst role, you will be the frontline defender of FTMO’s digital assets and IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems stay secure and operational. Your main goal is to proactively protect us from cyber threats, handle security incidents as they arise, and ensure we comply with all necessary internal and regulatory policies.What will you do?Scan our infrastructure and applications to identify security vulnerabilities, and work with system owners to get them fixed.Continuously design and improve security playbooks and BAU security operations processes.Manage security incidents from early detection through post-mortem reviews, following established playbooks.Create and share training materials to help our employees defend against phishing, malware, and other everyday security threats.Evaluate security risks and build standards, procedures, and controls to effectively manage them.Lead security meetings, present clear action plans to senior management, and execute on those plans.Keep all technical documentation, security policies, and “as is/to be” posture records fully up to date.What do you bring to the table?A university degree (or equivalent education) in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.5 to 10 years of specific experience working in the information security industry.Hands-on experience working with security technologies and implementing internal information security processes.A background in navigating compliance and regulations within the financial sector.Proven experience writing security guidelines, policies, standards, and processes.Industry credentials such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.Certifications like Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA Network+, CWAPT, or Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst.A solid working knowledge of industry security standards, including SOC2, ISO27001, and NIST.Practical skills in ethical hacking and penetration testing to expose weak points before malicious hackers do.Knowledge of computer forensics to collect data, analyze breaches, and prevent cybercrime.The ability to use reverse engineering to patch software bugs or analyze malware.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to monitor IT systems, diagnose technical problems, and draw conclusions from data.Strong persuasive communication skills to effectively gain the support and commitment of other teams and management.Why join the FTMO team?We are a Czech fintech that, since 2015, has grown from an idea into a global project. 300+ amazing teammates. Acts as a versatile, Tshaped engineer blending software development, DevOps, and QA principles to build and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems.What’s in store for you?The team is primarily building and maintaining systems for the integration of 3rd party Trading Platforms:Monitoring of trading accounts:Trading platform API bridgeMonitoring of historical symbol/security/instrument configurationMonitoring of trading activityCustom integrations into platformsSystem tracks the record of client accounts, their trading activity, and evaluates whether they are abiding by FTMO trading rulesData is ingested from the platforms and sent through multiple applications using Kafka as a messaging brokerSystem that manages configuration and client accounts on the trading platform - Basic CRUD operationsSystem tracks activity (read counts of messages) generated by our clients, and when they get over thresholds, it sends messages to trigger actions - preventing hyperactive / runaway algos from overloading our systemsWe have our own internal C++ plugins for some platforms. These plugins provide custom logic for our apps, for example, providing real-time data for our monitoring of trading accounts, or providing APIs for the trading platform bridgeWe are responsible for the entire application lifecycle, including analysis, implementation, maintenance, and operations. What users see, interact with, and form their entire impression from, that’s what you’re building.This is a complex, real-time, data-dense application. Think streaming data, interactive visualizations, multi-panel layouts, state-heavy workflows, the kind of interface where performance and UX precision actually matter. Not a marketing site. Not a dashboard. A professional tool that people use every day.The frontend is where you’ll have the most impact, but this is a small team, roles aren’t rigidly defined. If you want to pick up backend work, write an API endpoint, build a data transformation layer, contribute to infrastructure, go for it. If other engineers need to contribute to the frontend, you’ll help them do it well. Your strongest skill is React and real-time UI, but we’re hiring a product engineer who happens to be great at frontend, not a frontend specialist who stays in their lane.What will be your agenda?Design and build the core application UI from scratch, real-time data visualization, interactive charting, complex multi-panel layouts, and stateful user workflows.Implement real-time data rendering via WebSocket streams - live data feeds, status updates, alerts, with performance that doesn’t degrade under load.Build the wallet connection and onboarding flow, users authenticate with a crypto wallet. The experience needs to be seamless for both crypto-native users and newcomers.Integrate charting libraries (TradingView or alternatives) with custom overlays, indicators, and interactive elements specific to our platform.Own frontend architecture decisions: state management, component patterns, data fetching strategy, build tooling. Set the standards the codebase will follow as the team grows.Collaborate closely with the backend engineer on API contracts and data formats, or just build the endpoint yourself if that’s faster.Work with the design team on UI/UX, but bring your own strong opinions about what makes a data-intensive, real-time interface actually usable. We want a builder who cares about the product, not someone who pixel-pushes from Figma specs.What will you bring to the table?4+ years of professional frontend development with React. You’ve built complex, stateful applications, not landing pages and marketing sites.Deep experience with real-time data in the browser, WebSockets, streaming updates, efficient re-rendering of frequently changing data.Strong understanding of frontend performance: what causes jank, how to profile it, how to fix it. A product that lags is a product nobody uses.You care about UX beyond what the designer hands you. You’ve pushed back on designs that looked good but felt wrong to use. You have opinions about how a data-intensive interface should behave.Comfort working in a small team with high ownership. You’ll ship features end-to-end, from state management to pixel alignment, with no dedicated QA or frontend team lead above you.CS degree or equivalent, we care about what you’ve built, not where you studiedWhat would be nice to have?Experience with TradingView Charting Library or similar financial charting integration (Lightweight Charts, HighCharts).Familiarity with crypto wallets and wallet connection flows (Privy, Turnkey, WalletConnect, Solana wallet-adapter).Experience building PWAs or apps with offline-capable, installable web experiences.TypeScript, we expect this will be the default, but it’s not a dealbreaker.Some backend experience, Node.js, API design, basic database queries.
