The department is used to diagnose and treat patients with severe infectious diseases that cannot be managed on an outpatient basis. These are mainly febrile conditions with a presumed infectious cause. The standard inpatient ward consists of 10 rooms. The rooms are double rooms and all have en-suite facilities.
