Volunteer fire departments are an important part of the community and play a key role in protecting lives and property. Their volunteer efforts and willingness to assist in emergencies make them an important part of the borough.
The local volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1882 and, apart from a pause between 1912 and 1920, it has been functioning without any problems and very actively to this day. Currently, there are 35 members. In close cooperation with the municipality, it organises various cultural events for children and adults and is also involved in ensuring the fire safety of the municipality.
