Originally a monastery, and after 1788 a parish church, the church was burned by the Hussites in 1425 and then replaced by a temporary wooden church. The construction of the present church was started in 1699 by František Antonín Berka of Dubá, the owner of the estate.

Organisation of religious services and spiritual meetings. Religion is taught by appointment. Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament is held in the church of Mimoň every Thursday after the morning Mass. Once in a while, the parish rectory in Stráž pod Ralskem hosts a Vespers service.
