The first written report dates back to 1360. The village is situated at an altitude of 454 metres.
The origin of the village dates back to 1320. The village had a German population and a strong Czech minority, after 1945 a Czech population. Due to the size of the village, crafts and trades were also carried out here. In 1880 a post office, a pawnshop, a medical service and a consignment shop were established here.
