The first written report dates back to 1177. The village is located at an altitude of 378 metres. It is the tenth oldest still existing village in the Rokycany district. Kamenný Újezd was of the greatest importance to the Rokycans in the post-Hungarian period with its extensive sheep breeding (1,278 as of 1713), which is shown in the municipal coat of arms.
