The first written record dates back to 1566, when Malá Úpa was settled by woodcutters from Tyrol, Styria and Carinthia. Malá Úpa is situated at an altitude of 1050 metres and is a popular mountain resort for summer and winter holidays. It has a volunteer fire brigade. Provision of Czech POINT services.
