The museum has been housed since 2002 in the listed building of the pseudo-Gothic Hradiště castle. The museum owns a rich archaeological, ethnographic, art and industrial collection. The castle houses permanent exhibitions of regional history and hosts exhibitions and concerts.

S velkou radostí píšu tuhle recenzi. Od vstupu branou, kde mě odchytl pravděpodobně pracovník muzea a nevtíravě zval k prohlídce, přes milou a velmi ochotnou paní průvodkyni jsem se prousmívala dál. I v lednu bylo ve všech prostorách teplo (je možnost uložit si batoh apod. do uzamykatelných…
