The first written report dates back to 1340. The village is situated at an altitude of 282 metres.

We run a primary school for 50 pupils with a day care and dining room. We organize trips, various courses, plays, social events, carnivals or theatre performances.

We are also dedicated to developing Tanzanian foundations and helping with projects that directly impact the lives of children.

We operate a parish at the Roman Catholic Church. We hold regular or special services and religious meetings. Services are for adults and children, church members and the general public. The parish organizes baptisms, pilgrimages to worship, Holy Communion, faith talks, confession afternoons and other events.
