The first written report dates from 1371. The town is located at an altitude of 306 metres. Near the town there is a symbol of the Bohemian Paradise - Trosky Castle. There is a kindergarten and a primary school in the village and several clubs and associations are active here, such as the TJ Sokol, the Society of the Disabled and the theatre association.

We operate a primary school for 260 pupils. We have a canteen, a common room, a gym and a gym. We offer extra-curricular clubs in volleyball, movement games, table tennis, French, English or choir. We organize sports matches, sightseeing tours, trips, indoor tournaments and more.

We run a kindergarten for a total of 50 children. We have our own canteen. Qualified staff mainly focuses on children's adaptation to a foreign environment, acquiring hygiene and social habits, developing independence, motor skills, healthy self-esteem or the ability to communicate with others.

We focus on providing effective assistance during emergencies and protecting the lives, health and property of residents during fires. We also organize cultural and children's events.
