Our department is a specialized centre for the application of biological treatment in the vitreous space. This application is preceded by reading on special optotypes (ETDRS), OCT (optical coherence tomography) examination, slit lamp examination.

Operation of an eye clinic for minor surgical procedures. We perform removal of small skin lesions (chalazia, verrucae, milia, xantelasmata) in a small operating room of the outpatient tract.

The Macular Clinic provides diagnostics and treatment of macular diseases led by age-related macular degeneration. Based on the biomicroscopic examination of the ocular background, the doctor of the macular clinic indicates further specialized examinations.

Consiliary outpatient clinic provides diagnosis, treatment or suggestion of treatment for a wide range of eye diseases in patients of Jihlava Hospital hospitalized in other inpatient departments. This outpatient clinic does not serve non-hospitalised patients.

The Glaucoma Clinic provides diagnosis and treatment of primary and secondary glaucoma and controls patients with intraocular hypertension.

We operate an eye clinic. We offer help with acute and chronic problems. We perform fluorescence angiography to detect and evaluate retinal disease or biometry to determine the power of intraocular lens implanted during cataract surgery. We provide inpatient care for up to 15 people.

The clinic provides diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases occurring in childhood, lavage and probing of tear ducts, measurement and spectacle correction of refractive errors, diagnosis and treatment of strabismus and amblyopia. We perform screening for retinopathy of prematurity.

We specialize in the examination of patients with cataracts. Patients are indicated for cataract surgery and the dioptric power of the intraocular lens to be implanted in the eye during surgery is measured. The most suitable type of lens for the individual patient is consulted.

Operation of a perimetry clinic. Examination of the extent of the visual field, changes in the extent of the visual field or determination of defects in the visual field.

We diagnose and treat ocular complications of diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2. Based on the biomicroscopic examination of the ocular background, the doctor of the diabetes clinic indicates further specialized examinations. Close cooperation with the attending diabetologist is an integral part of the diabetes clinic.

We treat patients with a wide spectrum of vitreous and retinal diseases and traumatic conditions affecting the posterior segment of the eye (vitreoretinal traction syndrome, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, amocoele, retinal detachment, lens luxation) that require laser or surgical treatment.
