The Clinic of Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis is the highest type of workplace in the Moravian-Silesian Region. It also focuses on clinical oncology in pneumology and is one of seven pneumo-oncology centres in the Czech Republic and the only one in the Moravian-Silesian Region.

The department performs the majority of currently available bronchological examinations (video bronchoscopy, auto fluorescence, NBI, electrocautery, laser therapy, tenting, rigid bronchoscopy, foreign body extraction) for all age categories of patients.
