The main focus of the department is neuroradiology in its entirety, including cerebral perfusion and CT angiography, taking into account the early diagnosis of strokes in connection with the intensive care unit of the Neurology Clinic.

The department examines patients after acute injuries, deals with the diagnosis of cancer, digestive tract and vascular diseases. The department also performs unique computed tomography-guided procedures, such as the treatment of tumor deposits in the liver and other organs.

The department performs all vascular interventional procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic, except intracranial and cardiac procedures. It mainly performs angioplasties of peripheral and visceral arteries.

The department performs the full spectrum of nonvascular interventional and gastrointestinal procedures. Biliary tract interventional procedures such as percutaneous biliary drainage, removal of stones from the biliary tract and stent insertion are performed.

The department is focused on paediatric radiodiagnostics and serves inpatient and outpatient paediatric clinic. In addition, the unit performs examinations for the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic 1. LF UK and VFN, both for its gynaecological and neonatal wards.

The department deals with modern diagnostics of the urinary tract, kidneys, ureters and bladder. Examinations are performed on a modern ultrasound machine and a skiascopic-schiagraphic set, which are also used for functional investigation of bladder emptying.

The department provides basic diagnostic imaging (chest, bone, abdomen, etc.).
