Ostrava cares that the families who live here feel that they are at home here, that the city supports them and values them. The family policy of the Statutory City of Ostrava under the brand FAJNA RODINA is based on this principle.

The aim of the club is to create conditions for the practical activities of the seniors of the village of Velká Polom in the cultural, social, social and sporting fields.

We organize lectures and thematic tours, publish publications on mining technology and the history of mining from the early days to the present. We participate in the scientific and professional activities of the Mining Museum. We support and carry out collection activities. We participate in the protection and processing of cultural values.

Club activities for seniors, social gatherings, games, cards, scrabble, crossword puzzles, handicrafts, competitions, talks and lectures according to the senior club program, which can be found on the senior club website or on the bulletin board on the ground floor of the Bohumín Municipal Office. Seniors can use a PC with internet.
