We run an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Josef Suk.

This romantic castle from the second half of the 19th century is surrounded by a 10-hectare park. Visitors can take a guided tour of the castle or participate in special dramatized tours. It is also an ideal venue for weddings, celebrations, and concerts.

The chateau houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the early years of Smetana's work. It also commemorates other composers who were born in the region over the centuries, such as Jan Dismas Zelenka, Josef Leopold Dukát and Josef Suk, or who visited and worked in the region - Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler and others.

We offer a permanent exhibition of Tyniec stoneware in the museum.

We offer castle tours, entertainment and commercial events and accommodation in apartments. In the summer months we perform theatre. The castle has been the setting for the series Hop or Trop and the film Our Grandfather Joseph.

The museum houses an ethnographic and numismatic collection, archaeology and history of the village and surrounding area.

In addition to collection management and exhibition activities, the museum also focuses on organizing cultural events, lectures, talks, concerts, film screenings and art workshops for the public. At present, its collection includes objects from the fields of painting, graphics, photography, sculpture and design.

The original fortress of the Lords of Janovice with a beautiful English park with a pond.
