Tours of the castle. According to local findings, a Great Moravian hillfort existed near the castle in the 8th - 9th century. The castle was an important stronghold of the Přemyslids. It was built on a narrow rocky promontory about 70 m above the level of the Želetavky River. It is possible to organize weddings, corporate events and celebrations.

Offer of castle tours. The tour includes access to the tower. There is a visitor centre at the main entrance to the castle where visitors can buy souvenirs, postcards, tourist stamps and small refreshments. Wedding ceremonies and night tours are possible.

In the middle of the 16th century it underwent an early Renaissance reconstruction. A museum dedicated to the life’s work of sculptor, painter, and performance artist Lubo Kristek, housed in an iconic building with a piano on the roof. Seven exhibition halls devoted to Surrealism. Over 60 years of work by the surrealist Kristek through historical upheavals: sculptures, assemblages, paintings, and relics from his legendary happenings.

We operate a cinema where public events and theatre performances can be held.
