The bowels of the modern foyer conceal the entrance to a magnificent historic Empire theatre interior with a beautiful painted curtain, the oldest working one in the country. The building itself has stood here since 1833 and is one of the oldest bourgeois theatres ever built. It is named after the Czech playwright and actor J. K. Tyl.

The cinema is located in the city centre. The equipment is of a very good technical level. Films are shown in Dolby Digital, including an azure soundtrack. The capacity of the cinema is 153 seats and 2 seats for wheelchair users.
