We operate a medical microbiology and immunology department. We perform a wide range of investigations in clinical microbiology covering clinical bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, mycobacteriology and infectious immunology.

The National Reference Laboratory for Pathogenic Actinomycetes carries out testing of strains of actinomycetes and nocardia (rare but serious agents of often fatal diseases) sent for verification from other microbiological departments in the Czech Republic.

We are engaged in quality testing of building materials. We operate a laboratory for testing aggregates, cement, concrete, fresh and hardened screeds. We design compositions for road construction, cement concrete covers and stabilized bases. We focus on conducting proof tests.

Determination of internal voltage in glass products. Inspection of polarizing instruments and determination of the conversion constant of polarimeters. Analysis of glass breakage, determination of causes of breakage of glass objects.
