This is a Premonstratensian monastery founded in 1140. The present Baroque appearance of the monastery dates back to the end of the 17th century. The monastery was closed in 1950 and underwent extensive reconstruction between 1992 and 1993.

St Giles Parish offers, amongst other things, facilities for those interested in adult baptism and confirmation. We organize spiritual and religious meetings in Czech and Polish languages. Lectures, services, adoration, vespers, rosary and social events are held in the monastery.

The current appearance of the church is the result of a Baroque modification of the 14th century Gothic church, which is practically preserved to this day.
