The Department of Education and Psychology provides instruction in the disciplines of education and psychology as part of its degree programs. It is the sponsor of three separate Bachelor's degree programmes - Leisure Pedagogy, Kindergarten Teaching and Teaching of Vocational Subjects.

The department provides teaching in physics, natural science engineering, condensed matter physics, engineering acoustics and other physical disciplines.

The department provides education in social welfare, education, penitentiary care, preschool and after-school education, special education and other social studies.

The department provides teaching in the field of Czech and world history. The Department of History offers two undergraduate and two postgraduate degree programmes. The three-year full-time Bachelor's degree programme offers a Specialisation in Education and a History with a focus on Education.

Operation of the textile faculty and departments of textile materials, clothing, textile technology, design, textile chemistry, technology and management of clothing production, evaluation of textiles and non-wovens.

Depending on their specialization, students are offered advanced studies in the specializations of Specific Learning and Behavioural Disorders, Czech Language, English Language with Didactics, German Language with Didactics, Mathematics, Music Education and Art Education in addition to the basic studies of teaching for the first stage of primary school.

The faculty provides instruction in a two-stage, six-year degree program with a concentration in art and architecture. Department of Architecture, Urban Planning, Fine Arts, Environmental Design, Theory and History of Art and Architecture, Structural Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The department provides teaching in the fields of TV teaching, sports management, teaching for primary school level 1 and leisure pedagogy. Scientific research activity is mainly focused on the issues of assessment of physical condition and basic components of physical fitness of youth, including modeling of its further development.

The department provides teaching in financial, actuarial and discrete mathematics, computer algebra and history of mathematics. The department also provides teaching of courses dedicated to the use of ICT resources in various fields of study such as Foundations of ICT and Computer Science in Music Education and Production.
