We provide teaching and research in the theory of physical culture, philosophy of physical culture, sociology, philosophy, psychology and pedagogy of sport, history of physical culture, didactics of physical education, health and psychology.

The department provides studies focused on the diagnosis and therapy of functional and organic disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.

The department prepares professionals for overall conceptual teaching and management activities in recreation facilities, public administration organizations, program centers and recreation centers as well as fitness centers.

The Department provides instruction in applied physical activities for all ages, disability intensities and different sports. We create space for people with disabilities, in accordance with their interests and abilities.

The department provides teaching and research in areas of kinanthropology that are closely related to biomedicine, physical sciences and human motor science. It participates in the implementation of full-time and combined forms of undergraduate and doctoral studies.

The department has two sports halls or sports complex and provides teaching of physical education and sports. It organises sports competitions within and outside the university, and encourages student participation in the Czech Academic Games and Academic Championships. The sports facilities include a shipyard.

The Institute provides expert, educational and scientific research activities in the field of traffic accident analysis and the development of new procedures and methods for use in expert practice. The Institute deals with the fields of transport, engineering and economics. It organises professional courses, seminars and debates.

The institute provides teaching of general physics and mathematics. Possibility of bachelor, master and doctoral studies in combined and full-time form. We offer consultancy in spectral ellipsometry, X-ray and synchrotron technology, assessment and standardization in heating technology and other areas.

The institute provides studies in organic chemistry and organic matter technology. Research focuses on the study of the structure of coordination compounds, the behavior of tautomeric systems, small-molecule organic specialties, the study of higher molecular weight conjugates of selected drugs, and more.

The institute provides instruction in chemistry, engineering chemistry, food evaluation and analysis, chemical and process engineering, and environmental engineering. Opportunity to use the glass shop and metal working shop, cutting and joining tools are available.

The Institute is a centre for research and teaching in macromolecular chemistry and technology, chemical fibre technology and textile chemistry. It is involved in teaching in bachelor and continuing master and doctoral degree programmes.

The faculty provides teaching for bachelor and master studies in general nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy and radiology assistant.

We are a science and technology park ensuring the protection and commercialisation of university intellectual property. We provide a shared workspace for independent professionals.
