We bring together top academics from four faculties - civil, mechanical, electrical and biomedical engineering - to work together on sustainable buildings. We aim to naturally align scholars from disciplines close to energy efficient buildings and address the issue comprehensively.

The department's teaching and research focuses primarily on the development of the field of technology for crop production. Gradually, this focus is being extended to include technology for complex landscape restoration and maintenance. It offers Bachelor and Master studies in Agricultural Technology.

The department focuses on teaching and research in the field of landscape and garden architecture. It provides teaching of profile courses for the Bachelor's degree in Production and Ornamental Horticulture. The Bachelor's degree is followed by a Master's degree in Garden Design.

The Centre for Counselling Services (CPS) is a university-wide workplace providing free professional counselling in the fields of studies, psychology, special education, career and spiritual issues.

Teaching and research in forest conservation and hunting. The department provides teaching of subjects of a biological nature. Research activities are focused on forest conservation issues in terms of applied entomology and forestry phytopathology.

Focusing on harvesting and transport technologies and their impact on forest ecosystems, specializing in harvester technologies and cable systems. The economic, energy and time requirements of production in the deployment of forestry technology and multi-criteria technology optimization are studied.

The main focus of the department is not only to carry out research in the field of agricultural and household development as well as institutional strengthening in tropical areas or poor regions, but also to train professionals able to compete in today's globalized labour market.

The activities of the department consist primarily of teaching assignments in tropical and subtropical areas. It provides teaching in bachelor, master and doctoral degree courses. The scientific research activities of the department are mainly carried out in the form of research grants and student research papers.

The department focuses on the quality of both animal and plant agricultural products, taking into account the requirements enshrined in the Common Agricultural Policy and European legislation. It teaches students in bachelor, master and doctoral programmes.

Our department is involved in the education of students mainly in the study fields of animal production, breeding, special breeds, hobby breeds, equine breeding, cynology and zoo-rehabilitation and assistance activities with animals.

The department provides, apart from scientific activities, also teaching of professional forestry subjects for bachelor and master courses in both full-time and combined form of study. Lectures and exercises are conducted in both Czech and English.

The department focuses mainly on issues related to the evaluation of forestry profitability and efficiency, positive and negative instruments of industry management, forestry and environmental policy issues, forest and natural resource valuation issues in general, and selected aspects of environmental protection.

The scientific and pedagogical activities of the department focus on the following fields: botany, dendrology, phytocenology and forest typology.

Teaching in forest establishment and cultivation. The department's research activities include projects affecting, in addition to current forestry problems, the restoration of forest ecosystems in anthropically heavily stressed and degraded conditions, as well as the dynamics of natural and near-natural forest development.
