It specializes in pesticides, contaminants, natural toxins and biologically active substances, including addictive and metabolomics.

The faculty offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs in food chemistry and technology, biochemistry, biotechnology and microbiology. It is engaged in scientific research activities in the fields of food chemistry, technology and biotechnology.
