Our mission is to meet the information needs of personnel. However, as a public library, we are also open to the professional community, students, and other libraries for interlibrary loan services. We provide professional information needed for clinical practice, professional growth, and study, publication and research purposes.

We operate a library of professional literature serving primarily physicians, nurses or social workers, psychologists, clergy, volunteers, and students of these professions, as well as the public seeking instruction in death, dying, and care of the dying and bereaved.

We are engaged in building of file catalogues or authority files. We also operate a documentation centre of the World Health Organization.

We offer a medical literature library service containing approximately 7,000 library items. The library subscribes to 125 journal titles of which 68 are Czech. We provide making copies, scanning or making ring bindings.

Association of medical students. We offer medical literature on loan and the possibility of internet connection via computer. A printer and scanner are also available. We are also involved in organising student charity events.

Running a library focusing on transplantology, cardiology, nephrology, diabetes and related fields.

Provides library and information services to MH staff and the professional and general public. In addition to medical literature, OVI's holdings include publications on law, economics, management, public administration and the European Union, both Czech and foreign language.

We operate a medical library for doctors, nurses, interns, students of universities, colleges, high schools, teachers, the public and other specialists preparing for certification. We lend literature focused on gynaecology, perinatology and neonatology. A study room is available.
