The library is a specialized library focusing on fine arts - painting, sculpture, architecture and art history. It provides library and information services both to NGP staff for their professional and scientific work and to the public, to whom it makes its holdings available for study.
We operate a library and an archive with professional literature. We focus on materials from the 19th century, but also works from earlier historical periods. We acquire, process and make available to users musical material in classical and electronic form. We carry out research. We ensure the preservation of musical materials.

We operate a professional library. The library collection includes all relevant study literature supplemented by domestic and foreign professional periodicals and access to electronic information resources. There are 35,000 book volumes, Czech and foreign monographs and study texts.

The largest and oldest library of technical literature in the Czech Republic with a capacity of around 926,000 volumes. Its primary function is to provide technical information resources and services to students, teachers and researchers, as well as to those interested in technical information from the general public.
