The Centre operates as a university library with access to library collections and integrated electronic and multimedia information resources.

Provide library and information services primarily to students and faculty staff, but also to other interested individuals from the BUT, other universities, and the professional community. The library collection is thematically focused on technical disciplines, especially civil engineering, natural sciences, economics and computing.

The faculty library has up to fifteen thousand volumes of books and fifty titles of journals. Study places are available in the library.

Operation of a multimedia study room with a collection mainly focused on finance, banking and accounting. Computers with internet access are available. We provide the possibility of using the study room for one-off lessons, training or presentations. We offer short-term absentee loans.

There are also scripts, Czech and foreign language literature, journals and daily newspapers in several languages, working papers, statistics and more.

We operate a faculty library focusing on professional literature in the areas of transportation and communications. We offer publications on road, rail, and air transportation, transportation systems, management, economics, automation, transportation processes or technology, and more.

We run a reference library and study room specialising in all areas of aviation.

Offering library services focusing on analytical, inorganic, physical, macromolecular, organic and nuclear chemistry or biochemistry. We provide photocopying services and access to the Beilstein and Chemical Abstract Services databases.

The Central Library is a specialized library with a collection profiled for mathematics, physics, earth sciences (geology, mineralogy, geography) and anthropology. The holdings of the departments of biology and chemistry of the Faculty of Science are located in the MU Campus Library.

The library provides library and information services not only to students and employees of the faculty, but also to other interested persons from the BUT. The profile of the library collection is concentrated on fine arts and related disciplines. Library holdings also include art encyclopedias and dictionaries of visual artists.
