The library is one of the core branches of the KJM, and is also widely used by visitors from other automated KJM branches due to its high quality collection. It participates in projects to support children's reading, organises regular readings for the youngest readers and organises a number of cultural and educational events for the public.

The library belongs to the middle branches of the KJM and besides books it also offers toys, board games and didactic aids from the Lekotéka project, audio books, umbrellas and glasses. Parents with young children can use the playroom and the baby changing area. There is internet, wi-fi, a study area and photocopying facilities.

The library belongs to the smaller branches of the KJM and its operation is realized in cooperation with the Cabinet of Information Studies and Librarianship of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno, for whose students it serves as a teaching workplace. The branch is not a part of the KJM network of automated operations.
