The town is situated on the upper reaches of the Křinice River on the border of the Czech Switzerland National Park, the Lusatian Mountains Protected Landscape Area and the Elbe Sandstone Protected Landscape Area. The town includes the villages of Dlouhý Důl, Hely, Kamenná Horka, Krásný Buk, Kyjov, Sněžná, Vlčí Hora and Zahrady. The municipal office is located in the town hall.
