The village of Bělá pod Pradědem is located in the Olomouc Region in the Jeseník District. The municipality was established on 14 June 1964 by merging the two previously independent municipalities of Adolfovice and Domašov including its two settlements Bělá and Filipovice. The new name was taken from the river Bělá with the attribute "under Pradědem".
