The village of Jiříkov consists of six local districts - Jiříkov, Sovinec, Křížov, Těchanov, Kněžpole and Valšovský Důl, with a total of approximately 350 inhabitants. It lies in the northwestern corner of the Low Jeseník Mountains in the Bruntál district, about 12 km south of Rýmařov and at an altitude of about 600 metres above sea level.
