The village of Veletiny is situated in the valley of the Olšava River, halfway from Uherské Hradiště to Uherské Brod, in the Zlín Region. It has approximately 520 inhabitants. The village is part of the Lower Polesavi microregion. In the territory of Veletiny there is a village conservation area Stará hora with vineyard sheds.
