Near Pilsen in the northwest direction is the village of Malesice with an area of 903 ha and about 606 inhabitants. The first written records of the village date back to 1239, when it was owned by Zdeslav, son of Ratmir. Malesice belongs to Pilsen as its 9th district since 2003.

The fourth district of Pilsen is named after one of the original settlements, Doubravka. The district forms the eastern part of Pilsen and consists of the original villages of Doubravka, Letná, Lobzy and others from the villages of Bukovec, Červený Hrádek, Újezd, Zábělá, which still form separate satellites. The city district is in the northern part of Pilsen, sometimes referred to as the Northern Suburbs. The district covers an area of more than 5 km2 in the southern part of Pilsen.
