The planetarium is a part of the Faculty of Mining and Geology of VŠB-TU Ostrava. It offers audiovisual programmes to schools and the general public, consisting of projections of the current night sky and a spherical film projected on the dome. Visitors have the opportunity to look at the sky with astronomical telescopes.

Observatory introduces the public to astronomy through popular science lectures on discoveries in the field of stargazing, observing with astronomical telescopes. We organize evening sky watching and lectures dedicated to astronomy.

We offer spherical screenings of educational and entertaining fulldome films about the stars and the universe in an inflatable planetarium - on site, wherever you invite us.
