We operate an observatory. We organize school events and programs. We organise telescope evenings with night sky viewing and expert commentary.

We operate an observatory, which has a telescope with a diameter of 500 mm and a spectroheliscope with image transmission to a monitor. The observatory has a receiving station for geostationary and polar meteorological satellites. We receive images from Meteosat geostationary satellites and NOAA polar satellites.

We offer programs for kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools, day care centers, municipalities, seniors, clubs, children's camps, clubs, associations, and the public. We organize astronomical observations, lectures, exhibitions and expeditions. We organize astronomy clubs and camps for children.

Operation of an observatory.

We are a specialized cultural facility oriented towards popularization and education in the field of astronomy.

The Vsetín Observatory organizes tours, observations and popular events for the public focused on astronomy, cosmonautics and other natural sciences. Visitor attractions include an observation dome with a large telescope, a unique model of the Solar System, an interactive sundial and the Czech Meteorological Institute's weather station.

The observatory is a contributory organization of the Zlín Region. We are engaged in educational, popularization, professional and observation activities.

Operation of a mobile planetarium. We show educational films and entertaining full-dome shows (not only) about the stars and the universe on a planetarium dome at a location you invite us to.

Operation of an observatory organizing astronomical lectures. Arrangements can be made for groups of five to twenty persons to observe the sky.

We are a centre for the popularisation of various sciences, mainly in the field of inanimate nature, astronomy, but we do not shy away from geology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography and many others. You will find here a digitalarium, an exploratorium, an astronomical observatory and an observation terrace.

The planetarium is a part of the Faculty of Mining and Geology of VŠB-TU Ostrava. It offers audiovisual programmes to schools and the general public, consisting of projections of the current night sky and a spherical film projected on the dome. Visitors have the opportunity to look at the sky with astronomical telescopes.
