We ensure the performance of state administration in the field of hallmarking and testing of precious metals. We carry out hallmarking inspections of goods made of precious metals or inspections of manufacturers and traders of precious metal products. We impose penalties for defects found.

We are an accredited testing laboratory of the Institute for Testing and Certification (ITC) in the field of testing and certification of games, RNG, etc. in the field of gambling.

Since 1 January 2007 we have been operating as a public research institution in accordance with Act No. 341/2005 Coll. Our research work is focused on Czech higher education in general and its development.

We carry out tests of mechanical properties of machine tools, measuring and other production and non-production machines. We deal with the analysis of rigidity and measurement and analysis of vibration of machine tools. We also perform measurements on coordinate measuring machines.
