Core-business is the development and commercialization of highly innovative devices and products based primarily on a revolutionary technology for the preparation of nanofibrous structures using high voltage (electrospinning).

We are a subsidiary of the Technical University of Liberec and we deal with technology transfer.

The Institute is devoted to research on fruit crops grown in the Czech Republic as cash crops. We also focus on the conservation of the gene pools of fruit crops, the study of the effect of rootstocks on grafted varieties, the development of methods of biological and integrated conservation of fruit trees and fruit planting projects.

We carry out long-term monitoring of solar radiation components in the Czech Republic, monitoring of the ozone layer over Central Europe and climate measurements and observations for the Hradec Králové urban agglomeration region and its surroundings.

The subject of the laboratory's activity is scientific research in the fields of immunology, physiology and ontogeny. We study the influence of the gut microbiota on the development of immune mechanisms in experimental models of human disease. We mainly focus on monitoring the influence of probiotic bacteria on the development of inflammation.

Teaching and research facilities dealing with the properties of building materials, construction of transport structures, geological and geotechnical influences on transport structures, theory of transport vehicles from the point of view of design, hydraulics, diagnostics, electrical and electrical engineering.

Conduct research in animal physiology and genetics. We focus on the study of unique characteristics of domestic, wild and laboratory animals. We maintain a laboratory in developmental biology, biochemistry and molecular biology of germ cells, DNA integrity, animal embryology, tumor biology and more.

The laboratory conducts research in the field of interacting compounds, semiconducting glasses and thermoelectric materials. It has three research teams working in the areas of non-crystalline materials, layered semiconductors with tetradymite structure and chemistry of non-graphite intercalates.
