It carries out soil and water analyses, operates the SOWAC-GIS geoportal, produces maps and provides data.

The largest botanical research centre in the Czech Republic. It conducts scientific research on vegetation at the level of organisms, populations, communities or ecosystems. It houses and manages the unique Průhonice Park, the Průhonice Botanical Garden and the Třeboň Botanical Garden. It has offices in Brno and Třeboň.
