Our efforts are focused on restoring and maintaining the Fiala Villa and its garden. We offer a cultural program and plan to create a municipal rose garden that will commemorate the historic tradition of rose cultivation. We believe that the villa will once again come to life as a restaurant for day-trippers and a gathering place for the public.

Our photo club is a place to share your passion for photography. We organize exhibitions, competitions and seminars to promote the talents of amateur photographers. Every year we organize the Blatná Photo Festival and the Blatná Rose Map Circuit.

Currently, the Union of Municipalities of the Písek Region (SORP) with its 70 member municipalities is one of the largest associations in the Czech Republic, covering almost the entire territory of the former Písek district. The total number of inhabitants of the federated municipalities is about 69 thousand.
