The department manages the city's economy. It provides for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the approved budget, complete accounting for the City and its organizational units, and grant processing. In addition, the Department administers local taxes, authorizes raffles and lotteries in kind and inspects slot machines.

The first written record dates back to 1362. The town is situated at an altitude of 454 metres. We provide Czech POINT services. In the town there is a church of St. Nicholas, a chapel of St. John of Nepomuk, a rectory, a primary school and a volunteer fire brigade.

We run a boating club.

The department provides civil registry and population registration. Issues birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates and registration documents for foreign countries. It also issues identity cards, passports, travel passes and other travel documents on the basis of international treaties. It declares a citizen's permanent residence and registers changes thereto.

The department handles property transactions for the disposition of city-owned real estate. We carry out property law operations, concludes purchase contracts, exchange contracts, gift contracts, lease contracts, loan contracts or contracts for the establishment of the right corresponding to easement.

Operation of the volunteer fire brigade. The fire brigade protects the lives, health and property of citizens from fires, floods and other emergencies, and provides technical assistance.

Primary school for 400 pupils with a day care centre, dining hall and gymnasium. The school participates in various environmental and other projects. Offers clubs in ceramics, homework, English, keyboarding, computer graphics and sports games.

The department deals with the organization of cultural events organized by the city and the coordination of cultural activities. It manages the agenda of contributions from the municipal budget to support cultural activities and tourism. It prepares documents for the promotion of the city. Ensures the presentation of the city at fairs and exhibitions.

We provide sports activities and events for exercisers of all ages. We run football, volleyball and basketball clubs. We offer aerobics, health and exercise classes for children and adults.

We operate a five-class kindergarten for 125 children with a school canteen. We offer English, German, logo-play, aerobics and dance. The children play, sing, dance,recite, try to create something nice and learn about the world around them. Our main aim is to provide a calm and relaxed environment for the children.

The organization organizes social events or camps for children and youth.

We run the town library. We lend educational literature, children's literature, poetry, fiction and magazines. Internet access is available. We provide lending, bibliographic information and interlibrary loan services. We organise literary talks and events for the public.

We hold services and spiritual meetings.
