The state vocational high school provides instruction in four-year courses in economics and business, social work, business, mechanic of machinery and equipment, and two-year extension courses in business and operating technology.

We operate a general four-year and eight-year high school. We offer studies in English, German, Russian and Latin. Preparation of students especially for university and college. We organize physical activities and sports clubs at the school.

International educational movement for youth and children aged 6 and up organizes meetings, expeditions, events and camps.

The Association exercises fishing law, ensures the breeding, protection and catching of fish or the protection of the environment, and develops and popularizes the sport of fishing. It also organises amateur, league and international competitions and issues fishing licences.

Support for the construction and operation of health and social facilities. We offer counseling services for the elderly with disabilities, free lending of aids to persons with disabilities. We focus on lecturing and awareness-raising activities.

Care for disabled citizens and social protection of children. We deal with minority issues. We keep records of the city's property in the field of health and social affairs.

Running a mini nursery for children as young as 1.5 years old with an educational programme aimed at helping them get used to being part of a playgroup. We offer babysitting. We provide interest groups for adults and children of preschool and younger school age. We provide puppet and puppet shows, lectures.

We run an association with a focus on popularising the region in the community and providing information on places of interest and landmarks in the region.

The Milevsko Volunteer Fire Brigade is the second oldest fire brigade in the Písek region and the third oldest in South Bohemia. The corps was founded in 1870.
